Upon first synchronization, missing files are added to both folders.
The structure of subfolders and files for "A" and "B" are identical after each synchronization files.
If folder A and folder B contain the same file by name but
date modification of file of folder "A" > date modification of file of folder "B"
then this file will be copied from folder "A" to folder "B".
If folder "A" and folder "B" contain the same file by name but
date modification of file of folder "A" < date modification of file of folder "B"
then this file will be copied from folder "B" to folder "A".
If folder "A" and folder "B" contain the same file by name and
date modification of file of folder "A" = date modification of file of folder "B"
then this file doesn’t copy.
Upon next synchronization app controls all changes (adding and deleting files and folders) in each folder.
If you delete file from folder "A" and
date modification of this file >= date modification of same file of folder "B"
then this file will be deleted from folder "B".
If you delete file from folder "A" and
date modification of this file < date modification of same file of folder B
then this file will be copied from folder "B" to folder "A".
After clicking on the button "Reset control changes", the app will synchronize as the first time.
In the folders "A" and "B" are added only the new files.

Filter settings (for version 2.8 or later).
You can setup the Filter by the beginning, ending, exact match, any match the string.
For example you can write a script for the filter as: =begin=String1, or =end=String2, or =exact=String3, or ==String4.
You can use complex filtering conditions as (=begin=2009, and =end=.jpg,) or (=begin=2010, and =end=.png,)
Folder Filter.
For to exclude folders "folder1", "folder2", "folder3" you should write a script for the "Folder Filter" as:
!= folder1, and != folder2, and != folder3
For to include folders "folder1", "folder2", "folder3" you should write a script for the "Folder Filter" as:
==folder1, or ==folder2, or ==folder3
File Filter.
For to exclude files with extensions .pages, .doc, .pdf you should write a script for the "File Filter" as:
!end=.pages, and !end=.doc, and !end=.pdf
For to exclude hidden files you should write a script for the "File Filter" as:
!begin=.
For to exclude files with extensions .jpg and files desktop.ini you should write a script for the "File Filter" as:
!end=.jpg, and !exact=desktop.ini
For to include files with extensions .pages, .doc, .pdf you should write a script for the "File Filter" as:

For to include files which begin with string "2009" and have extension ".jpg" and files which begin with string "2010" and have extension ". png" you should write a script for the "File Filter" as:

Move files to "Folder for deleted files".
Saving the synchronized files in a specific location ("Folder for deleted files").
Using this mode you are insured against accidental deletion of files, and can always return all the files even if you are re-sync a few times.
Structure of folders and subfolders stored in the "Folder for deleted files".
The "Folder for deleted files" will be created automatically only if the synchronization process to remove the files, these files will be moved to "Folder for deleted files".
For example, the synchronization process will automatically create a folder "Video_DelSyncFiles" for the folder "Video".
With help button "Control changes Reset" you delete stored information about the last file structure and you reset the tracking deletion, addition, changes. After click button "Control changes Reset" the app sync your folders as the first time.
Allowable deviation of File Modification Date [sec.]
This feature allows don't make operations with files if the files have deviation in the File Modification Date within the specified value.
You should setup it to 2-10 seconds, if you sync folders on the drive with FAT32.
Real Time Synchronization mode.
The Real Time Sync mode allows you to instantly synchronize changes in folders with any number of subfolders and files (including those with a lot of subfolders and files).
In this mode, the app finds and reads only the changes and synchronizes folders without the reading full file structure of synchronized folders.
The app uses low CPU and RAM for the Real Time Sync.
It works for 10.8 and later.
The Real Time Sync mode supports the main types of files as: .pages, .txt, .pdf, .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .ppt, .pptx, .dot, .ods, .jpg, .png, .avi, .mov, and etc.
The Real Time Sync mode doesn't support following type files: hidden files and subfolders, some of the alias of other OS.
Tracking Deletions mode.
The Real Time Sync with the "Tracking Deletions" mode works a little slower, because the app scans the files for deletion.
You should use this mode if you need to track deletion the files which wasn't changed or added during using the Real Time Sync.
The Real Time Sync without the "Tracking Deletions" mode supports tracking deletions only for the files which was changed or added during using the Real Time Sync mode.
Tracking changes subfolders mode.
The Real Time Sync with the "Tracking changes subfolders" mode works a little slower, because the app scans the subfolders which was changed.
You should use this mode if you need to track changes the subfolders which wasn't changed or added during using the Real Time Sync.
If you changed a lot of files at the same time, then you should make a few iterations to complete the synchronization until you get a message in the log file as "COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY There are no files for changes for the task:".
Before use the Real Time Sync please check that all types your files support it or don't use the mode sync A<->B with the Real Time Sync or use mode "Move files for deleting to "Delete folder"".
Before sync check the changes in the folders after last start / finish the sync.
With this feature the app check the changes in the synced folders before start a full synchronization process.
We recommend to use this feature if you are not sure that were the changes to the synced folders. This will speed up the synchronization and reduce CPU and RAM Mac.
We recommend to use this feature always. It is a guarantee that you never lose your files.
If you disable this feature, then you could lose your file in the following case:
You are using the synchronization mode "A<->B" or "A<+>B". During copying a large file has been shut down the external drive or has been disconnected network folder and the file was copied not completely or not correctly and after that you synced the folders again.
Network settings. Disconnect network folders after sync.
To set up the mode "disconnect a network folders after sync", do the following:
- Click button "Network Settings".
- Drag and drop network drive to the field.
- Click button "Test disconnect".
Check changes every N sec.
Checking of the changes will be executed with the established period.
Period of check changes you need to setup if you use "Auto Sync after change" or "Schedule".
By increasing the period of check changes, you reduce the CPU.

Don't get the package size (.app, .pkg, etc.)
Feature allows does not calculate the size of packets, thereby increasing the speed of synchronization. When using this feature the time until the end of synchronization may calculate not correctly if the synchronized folders contain packages.
If the synchronized folders do not contain packages, this feature has no effect on the progress of the synchronization.
If the application performs the synchronization in the background and you do not care to see the progress of the synchronization, use this feature. This will increase the speed of synchronization.
Mode of reading the file structure.
Mode 1 - reading file structure with help component of SDK Mac OS X.
Mode 2 - reading file structure with help unix command.
We recommend using mode 1 for reading the file structure.
Optimize Database.
The database is used to compare the file structures and storage of information about the last synchronization.
The procedure "Optimize Database" reduces the size of the database and increase the speed comparison the file structures.
Recommended to use it if you delete tasks of sync or sync speed decreased.
