I have been using this developer’s Sync Folders Pro for quite a while and with about 9Tb of data backed up in multiple locations couldn’t live without it. I have tried a few duplicate file finders , some of which were quite good but finding one from the same stable as my favourite sync tool was clearly one to check out. I wasn’t disappointed. Like his other apps this is a tool which can be used at different levels of complexity but gets the job done simply and effectively. The lelevl of information available on the website to learn about the apps workings is great. Highly recommended.

Ich bin positiv überrascht - die GUI ist übersichtlich, die Vergleichsmethoden lassen sich gut einstellen, die Suche verläuft sehr schnell. Die Suchergebnisse lassen sich gut nach Dateityp filtern. Eventuell könnte man noch an der Auswahl der zu löschenden Dateien noch etwas feilen - zurzeit muss jede doppelte Datei einzeln angeklickt und die zu löschende Kopie ausgewählt werden … In Ganzen aber ein sehr schönes und schlankes Programm mit ansprechendem Design!

Schnell (sehr wichtig für mich, da ich große Datenmengen abgleiche), der Status/Fortschritt ist gut nachvollziehbar, übersichtlich und genau. Die Ergebnisse bleiben auch nach schliessen der App erhalten und man kann zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt weitermachen.

Obwohl einige bestimmt schon bereits das ein oder andere Disk Utility besitzen, welches eine vergleichbare Funktion bereits integriert hat, besticht dieses kleine Utility durch sein aufgeräumtes GUI ohne Verzicht auf Funktionalität. Duplicate Manager Pro erlaubt auf das vielseitigste die Such-Attribute zu spezifizieren.

Dateivergleich (auch) nach Ordnern, auf Bit-Ebene (+/- Namen usw.), was naturgemäß einer gewissen Zeit bedarf, bei mir ca. 1000 Dateien /Minute (was ich als recht schnell empfinde). Auto-Auswahl (auch) nach Ordnerpriorität, in der Pro-Version automatisches Löschen aller Duplikate (es gibt auch eine kostenlose Version mit manueller Auswahl der zu löschenden Duplikate). Mehrfache „Sets“ (vordefinierte, völlig frei anpassbare und zu ergänzende Listen von Scan-Vorgängen nach Ordnern und Datei(typ). Timerfunktion (ab 1x täglich). So gut, einfach und dennoch in allerhöchstem Maße steuerbar habe ich noch keinen anderen Duplikatscanner gesehen. Daumen HOCH !!! (OK, die Übersetzung ist manchmal etwas holprig, aber immerhin vorhanden(!), und man braucht ein paar Minuten, um hinter alle Funktionen zu kommen. Aber wer so etwas braucht, weiß normalerweise, was eine Sicherungskopie jenseits von Time-Machine ist, und stört sich nicht an fehlender „Hochglanzoptik").

I used other apps to remove duplicates. I liked this here because: - I can decide the kind of search, to search checksum instead of name allows me to find that typical fotos which have been changed of name, but the original (like IMG_DSC_19349) persists. Or films, or mp3s, or docs. This is one of the big pros of this app, and makes it great to clean the media library, where most of this big files live - is as usefull that it saves the scan, both the path (I often scan the same external disc) and the process (so I can resume a real big scan) - It is really litttle but fast. Even has a transparent sandboxing. Congrats, a very well planned app.

The app is outstanding as per the my usage. The app works very fine with my settings of duplicate finder. It finds oldest and smallest files which we save and forget that this file is on the mac. It finds all duplicate files, photos, audio tracks, video and document. I will highly reccomend this app if some is looking for Duplicate Manager for the mac. Use this app and see this difference.

This is the single most useful duplicate manager I have ever used! No messing around with not being sure if the duplicates are real or not.
It nailed everything! I gained back gigs and gigs of space!
I wish I would have found this program sooner. I also use your other software VPN Configurator, VPN Client Configurator and VPN Agent.
What a breeze it was to set up a VPN server for 30 users. ZERO hassles… it just works.

I have had my 2013 iMac for around 9 months at the time of installing this. I use my mac for video,audio, and picture productions. This program after doing a full scan found over 250gb of duplicate files from me moving things around and forgetting to delete the old locations. It’s auto sort feature picked the best logical place to keep one version of the file and deletes the rest. Simple UI, simple functions, scan pick the one you want and then hit remove.
