Frequently Asked Questions

Can I restore the deleted duplicates?

The Duplicate Manager Pro only moves duplicates to the Trash. It does not actually erase them. You can always go to the Trash and restore the necessary duplicates.

How can I scan multiple folders at a time?

You should add multiple folders to the folder list.

Can I scan removable media, network volumes, iPhoto/iTunes folders?

Yes. The Duplicate Manager Pro works with any folders that you can connect by the Finder app. You should drag folders from Finder.app and drop them on the folder list, or select them in a new Finder.app window that will appear after you click "+" button.

I deleted duplicates but my disk space hasn't increased in the Finder app. Why?

When you remove duplicates using the Duplicate Manager Pro, the app moves them to the Trash. This allows you restore the files in case you accidentally delete something. If you are sure that you don’t need the deleted files, just empty your Trash and the free space will be increased on your drive.
